Ok, so , I suck. I lost track of the days.

Last week's Standings

And this is the first of september. Ack. We need a final August wordcount from everybody (who still cares, which is probaly few...)

Sorry about my bad management. School + medical incidents = stupid mouse. Maybe if we choose to do this again, I'll be smart and get help, so that if I flake the community won't suffer.

Anyway, check in! I'll have some totals as soon as we get everybody in...

Hi there!

Week three flew by, didn't it? Ok, no, it crawled, but as the dreaded end of the month is looming large, the week wasn't nearly long enough.

Check out my suposed "daily wordcount" : 3,900 a day. I can do it! (if I quit my job and stop sleeping...) But my mood is good, and I will NOT give up!

Check in time! How much more than me did you write?

I have done a word count of all my parts. The total is 12,750 words. They are ready to be beta'd at clowns_de_mort.

I am just so glad I got it done.

Aug. 16th, 2004 @ 01:08 pm Check in and Weekly Standings

Well, week 3 is upon us!

Week Two Standings

Check in time!

Please remember that I need the TOTAL WORDCOUNT of your stories, not how much you've written this week. Much easier to figure out.

We've had two requests for help:

cursive  says: "I simply cannot work on it. I've been writing every day, but not Consensio. How to fix that, though, I've no idea. Yesterday I banned myself from writing anything but Consension, and did nothing fanfic at all.

Tips, hints?"

And lady_songsmith  asks: "I have a nice little outline of what's supposed to happen, but the minute I throw my characters into the same room, they just stand there and look at each other like deaf-mutes. Arrgh. Any tips for dealing with stubborn characters?"

Any hints would be appreciated!

Sorry for the delay; my mother is having some medical dificulty, and I forgot the day.

Time to check in, authors!

We're nearing the middle of the month. That means we're 50% closer to finishing our fics.... right?

No, me neither. But this is the pressure building time. Soon the pressure will be so great that it will rocket us to our goal!

Or our heads will explode. Let's wait and see which happens!

This is my Snape/Harry series that started with, of all things, a 15minuteficlets entry. I don't honestly think I'll get another 100,000 words written on it in August but I'm hoping I can finish out the summer, which I'm thinking will take about 30-50,000 words. The first 50Kwords or so were done all in one big rush of about a month, so I've got hope. It's feeble hope, but there you are.

It was a short week, so it's understanable that not everybody got a lot done. That's ok, though. Good luck this week, everybody.

The table is now too big for LJ, so I made a simple HTML page out of it.

Here's the link

Aug. 3rd, 2004 @ 08:35 pm My husband is EEEEEEVIL
Right now, we have only one computer hooked up to the Internet, which also has my writing files on it (since I up- and download them to my website so I can work on them remotely; also its the only one with the NoteTab program).

The other machine is somewhat broken; can't connect to the web, no working floppy drive to xfer files. But it does have a functional CD drive, so yesterday he installed The Sims, and last night, he got me hooked on it. I think I've spent nearly eight hours in the last two days playng sims, when I could/should be writing.

Argh!
